FAQ

Things people ask before they call. If yours isn't here, just reach out.

It depends on tank size, equipment quality, and complexity of the hardscape. A basic 20–40 gallon setup with standard equipment typically runs $150–$300 in labor. Larger or more complex builds are quoted individually. We always provide a written estimate before any work begins.

Both. We can source and supply equipment as part of an installation, or work with gear you've already purchased. We'll always let you know if something you have isn't the right fit for your livestock β€” honestly, not to upsell you.

It depends on our schedule and your location, but we treat emergency calls as a priority. Same-day response is our goal. Text or call us directly β€” we'll tell you honestly how fast we can get to you and what you can do in the meantime.

Yes. We don't do long-term contracts. Give us 2 weeks notice and you're done β€” no fees, no hassle. We'd rather earn your continued business than lock you in.

We stand behind the health of what we sell. Fish should be eating, active, and healthy when you receive them. If something goes wrong within the first 48 hours that appears to be a pre-existing condition, contact us β€” we'll work something out. We can't control what happens once they're in your tank, which is why we also offer consultation to make sure your water is fish-ready first.

Absolutely β€” this is one of the most common reasons people reach out. Recurring fish loss is almost always traceable to water chemistry, stocking compatibility, or equipment issues. We'll test, ask questions, and give you an honest assessment of what's going wrong.

Yes β€” hardscape design is part of our installation service. If you want a specific style (Dutch, Iwagumi, natural biotope, etc.) we can plan and build it. We can also update an existing tank's layout if you're ready for a change.

Currently we specialize in freshwater only. Saltwater is a very different discipline and we'd rather be honest than overextend. We can refer you to people we trust for marine setups.
